DECEMBER ALREADY?
Matt and I took a break from the intense schedule with the house project, while someone else went to work on the roof. We hired that part out because #1 it's difficult, and #2 we were sure they could do it much quicker than our crew. #1 proved to be true...#2 a fallacy. Now, 6 weeks later we're still questioning our decision in that one.
In the interim we did some homeschooling projects that were well worth our time. And in November, our two oldest had their first Suzuki piano recital. It was held at the Manti Tabernacle where they had their first exposure to performing before a large crowd, while I tried not to covet the grand piano. Here they are with their piano teacher.
With blue sky, dry ground and mild weather, the ridge beam has been put in place and the front windows begin to take form.
This shows the back side with the beginning of the sheeting...still blue sky, dry ground and mild weather.
One Saturday when we still had blue sky, dry ground and mild weather, we went to work on sheeting the back patio. After November 1st the HOA allows outdoor fires. We had been promising our "crew" since July that after that day - Nov. 1st., we would break out the s'mores. And sure enough the boss(es) kept their word.

Looks like the house is coming together well. Glad somebody can build because I haven't had a lot of experience in that arena. Hope the family is well too. Will check in later in the month for an update.
Sounds like your crew is hard to beat! I bet it has been nice to have a break though. Keep up the good work.

You guys know how long it has been since you gave us update and pictures, right? I know you're making tons of progress we'd like to see... :)
